Ludden & Mennekes Entsorgungs-Systeme design, construct and implement efficient and trend-setting systems for disposal engineering. A wide range of most different machines and systems for the entire waste disposal industry are produced on six sites in four European countries with more than 400 staff members.

Ludden & Mennekes Entsorgungs-Systeme was founded in 1991 by Heinz Ludden and Peter Mennekes and experienced an expansive development of the company in the course of years.

Ludden & Mennekes Entsorgungs-Systeme combine all core competences of innovative technology for returning recyclable material to industrial cycle. The company presents itself as a competent contact for all issues of pressing technology, in particular after the acquisition of the channel baling press business field.

Pressing technology

Ludden & Mennekes Entsorgungs-Systeme GmbH uses the term „Pressing Technology“ to mean the compaction of waste and recyclable raw materials for efficient transport.
To this effect, we basically distinguish between mobile and stationary compacting systems.

L&M self-pressing containersRed Truck with self-pressing container

These containers rank among the mobile and efficient compacting systems especially designed for all collecting points with large volumes of waste or recyclable raw materials where, however, flexibility must be maintained – e.g. with a view to the site. L&M self-pressing containers are ideal pressing units for all compacting applications where times and sites frequently change. The pressing part and the container are permanently interconnected and are designed both for multibucket systems and roll-off or slide-off systems in magnitudes of 6 to 26 m³ of container contents. They are delivered either with a horizontal pressing system, with a self-cleaning pendulum piston gripping under waste or as a screw compactor. Material from 1.3 to up to 2.56 m³ can be compacted per working stroke in less than 30 seconds, depending on the type and equipment. All L&M self-pressing containers are delivered with the CE mark and a conformity declaration and are equipped with an extremely low-noise hydraulic pump of < 63 dB/A. The number of useful and practical additional equipment allows a universal use of the L&M self-pressing containers.

L&M stationary compacting systemsShowing Ludden and Mennekes compacting systems

These systems are an efficient support for the disposal of large waste or raw material volumes, ranking among compactors permanently connected to the ground and especially designed for all collecting points with larger volumes of waste or recyclable raw materials. The L&M line alone provides fourteen standard types which can considerably be extended by individual adjustment. The compact design of the KBW (stationary compactor of compact design) series can be used for all collecting points with larger waste volumes, which do not allow the use of stationary systems for reasons of space. The pressing part and the container are separated and must be connected via manual or fully automatic coupling and decoupling systems. Pressing containers are designed both for multibucket systems and roll-off or slide-off systems according to DIN 30 722 in  sizes from 6 to 34 m³ of content and may be equipped with automatic container locking devices. Depending on the compactor type and its equipment, material from 1.0 to up to 15.0 m² may be compacted per working stroke in less than 30 seconds, providing power parameters between 7.5 and 22.0 kW and pressing forces from 32 t to 60 t.
The L&M stationary compacting systems which are designed as loading and unloading systems, the pressing part and container or semi-trailers are separated and must be connected via manual or fully automatic coupling and decoupling systems. Depending on the compactor type and its equipment, material from 3.6 to up to 15.0 m² may be compacted per working stroke in less than 30 seconds, providing power parameters between 22.0 and 90.0 kW and pressing forces from 60 t to 110 t.
The number of useful and practical additional equipment allows a universal use of the L&M stationary compacting systems. Our range of additional equipment includes moving devices for fully automatic operation and thus provides solutions for all problems of an advanced and economic waste disposal for the customer.

L&M stationary screw compactors

These compactors rank among compacting systems permanently mounted to the ground and especially designed for all collecting points with larger volumes of waste or recyclable raw materials. The screw-type pressing part and the container are separated and must be interconnected via manual or fully automatic coupling and decoupling systems. L&M stationary screw compactors of the SV series are especially designed for crushing and compacting film, cartons, fruit boxes, throw-away pallets etc. and feature high compaction rates on a small area. A number of useful and practical additional equipment allows the universal use of the L&M stationary screw compactors.
